This was one of the best trips I have ever done, food was very good and happy we took that option.

Wonderful way to visit this part of Portugal. I, however, would have preferred less time at Fatima and the stop at the souvenier shop and more time at Batalha and Alcobaca to explore more of the town.

This was a good way to see a lot of ground in a limited amount of time. Wish the itinerary had been more specific about what was included vs not e.g., visit to the cathedral but not the cloisters. Also, lunch in Navarre in January was beyond grim. Rainy and cold, it could have been skipped during the low season. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable.

Nazare was unnecessary - basically a lunch stop Sofia, the guide, was fantastic !

This tour is badly designed and organized. The company Cityrama did a terrible job and just lumped different tour groups together and dropped us off at each location with very limited direction or narrative from the guide. Each of the towns- Obidos, Fatima , Nazare and Batalha have a lot of history and we did not get the detail on any place. The guide Maria could provide only a quick sentence or two on each location .
CityRama is taking the money to drop you at each location and pick you up- the rest is your own. For that much you can take a train to each of these towns independently and explore on your own. Also Batalha was closed the week after Christmas but the tour company did not inform the guests and took the money anyway- unethical and shoddy business practices. DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR!

The tour didnt start right for me in a few ways. Firstly I only got the notification for the pick up at the hotel on the actual day of the tour, 15mins before the actual pick up time. I didnt realize that we had to arrange for the pick up time separately upon the booking of the tour. Perhaps this can be included into the website booking so that we could avoid the last minute arrangements. Luckily the bus terminal where the tour was to start was near my hotel and easy to find.

It was good to see the various sites outside of Lisbon. Started with Óbidos, a medieval town which we were given a short time to roam around - certainly not sufficient if you really wanted to see more of the town and enjoy the Ginjinha which is a Portuguese fruit liquer served in a dark chocolate cup. We also went to Monastery of Alcobaça, a beautiful church with a history. Nazaré was a beautiful area, I chose the option of included lunch and it was a 3-course meal with salad, a big piece of fish and rice, dessert option of Crème brûlée or fruits, and table wine. But Nazaré was more of a lunch stopover if you took the lunch option. After lunch there wasnt a lot of time to see the various parts of Nazaré and the beach. We then stopped at Batalha first, and visited the monastery of Batalha for a quick 30mins before heading to the bus to head to a souvenir shopping plsce first then continue to Fátima sanctuary. Once there, we were given time to explore the area which was ok.

the tour guide wasnt the greatest for me. I suspect English is not her first language as such the English commentaries of each location didnt feel as if she gave all the stories behind the scenary that were looking at.

At the end of the tour, there was hotel drop off for those on the same way. Suggest that you know where your hotel location is, so that the bus can drop you off at the end of the tour.

Overall, I think the tour gives a good overview but it tried to cover too many locations in s day. Spilliting the locations would be better and a smaller group would work.

I think this tour could have been better if I could understand the tour guide. It was a multi language tour in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The English portion was awful. A lot of hmmms, ummms and ahhhs. After the first few times, I tuned her out. It literally was frustrating and it gave me a headache.
This tour included hotel pick up and drop off. I confirmed via email with the local company. I was downstairs at my hotel at 7:50a for an 8a pick up. I had the front desk call at 8:20a since no one had shown up and was told they were on their way. Personally, I think they forgot. The driver arrived but he was speeding to get the tour buses departure point. Once there, no one seemed to know what was going on. It took 3 attempts before we were put on a large bus.
The destinations were interesting but because of the difficulties with understanding the tour guides English, I found it uninteresting and boring. She would mention past kings but zero information on how it pertained to what we were seeing or putting it into context. I ended up googling the destinations so I knew what I was looking at. Isabella I believe that was the tour guides name basically dropped us off at the sites and told us what time to be back at the bus.
When we were done with last stop, she announced they would drop us off close to our hotels If possible. When I told her our hotel, she said it was impossible and wed be taken back to the tour start location. I told her that wasnt what I booked. She called the office and grudgingly agreed to drop us off at our hotel but I could tell she wasnt happy.
All in all, I think this tour is good but if I had to do it again, I wouldnt. The Lady of Fatima was the only thing, in my opinion, worth seeing.
