The tour was well organized and secure! Jose was a wonderful guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay not only at the Argentinean side of the falls but on our trip to Foz. She spoke Spanish and Portuguese so those that only spoke Engilsh on our tour were just translated to by the rest. The tour itself started right on time and took us across the border with no issue and to the Iguazu Falls Park. Jose dealt with the ticketing and lines so it was a relaxing ride without having to worry about a thing. The falls were a spectacular phenomenon with an energy that can only be described by being there. Because we were a large group we didn't have to worry about being paired with other tourists but be prepared for crowds of people flooding the walkways in the main trail. We had a nice walk that took us to the less crowded lower views of the falls and then later headed up up to the bridge walkways over the river. The tour ended with a drive back to Brazil and dinner at a traditional Brazilian buffet and meat grill. It was a little expensive if you aren't a meat eater coming to about 70 reals per person. It is a popular tour guide location so many vendors sell things out front and the inside is filled with tourist. Overall it was a delicious and great experience. If you are struggling to decide between seeing the Argentinean side of the falls or the Brazilian side, I'm here to tell you that you should see both. On the Argentinean side, you get up close and personal with the water and a beautiful trail. On the Brazilian side you get to really see the expanse of the entire landscape of Iguazu like you could never imagine of the Argentinean side and a similar close and personal feel at the Devils Throat. Overall Amazing, hassle-free tour and would definitely recommend!
The trip was perfect. The guide tour did a great job to guide us around especially to pursue as per our request and b flexible in anything. Thank you for making our this as a memorable trip. I remember the quote from our guide that Argentina falls is to feel the falls while Brazil falls is to see how awesome it is. The boat trip to feel the falls is a must. Please request to the guide. Additional charge is required but surely that you will get a great experience there!
Late arrival of shuttle 1 1/2 hours. Had tried to call and confirm pickup twice the previous day: first time the phone was answered but no one said anything, the second time no answer. Eventually the hotel managed to get hold of the right people in the morning of the tour. The guide was efficient, helped us get a boat tour and made sure we got there in time. We had bad luck with the weather, heavy rain. The falls were still an amazing experience.
Please be aware that you need to take cash to exchange into Argentinian pesos, as the Argentina side only accepts cash for tickets. You are really just paying for transportation...in the end, we would rather have done the tour on our own, as we found the group to be a bit of a burden. Still pretty!
Wow!
We had to call a number on the previous day to confirm that we attend the trip. Then we were told that the pick-up time would be 8:35 am. As 8:00 am is in the trip summary, we assumed they wouldn't have to pick up too many people. The guide showed up at 7:35 am, though and was ready to leave us behind. I guess it's not her fault that we and others on the tour as well were told the wrong departure time, but it tells a lot about the company and how they treat their customers.
They did not pick us up at our hotel as planned We waited for an hour and then phoned. They finally sent a driver to take us to the park. We had no guide which we had paid for and needed as we do not speak or read Portuguese. It was difficult to get around without direction as I am visually disabled
The Iguassu Falls is awe-inspiring, a must-visit place. It's a 5-star destination for me. However on the Viator services itself, the pick-up was late and the tour guide only talked briefly about Iguassu at the bridge Brazil-Argentina boundary. Afterwards, we didn't hear him talk about the location and other supposedly interesting facts. He was just there to assist everyone on the itinerary, ensuring that we fell in the right line and no one is missing. I was hoping we'd hear anecdotes and relevant information from the tour guide about Iguassu Falls that are not readily available on the Net.
