This was a great tour! All of the guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we knew where to go for each portion of the journey. Most of the time we were personally handed off from guide to guide. The train is a great way to get around and when we got to the train station, we were met by another guide who took us to the waiting van to get us to the Connemara airport. I highly recommend the scenic flight, it really is an unbelievable experience. Once on the islands, we toured around in a bus to various sights and hiked to the top of a fort. Everything was included in the price of the tour transportation, fort, etc except meals which made it easy. We had a couple hours in Galway before meeting our train back to Dublin, that is a really nice town with lots of shops and restaurants.
The tour was well planned and very informative. We very much enjoyed both the train ride and the flight over to the islands. Frank our guide was so nice and very helpful! All the sights on the island were enjoyable .
What a fantastic way to see Galway Bay and the sights of the Aran Islands from a small plane. This is a very unique tour and now I can check it off my bucket list -- traveling in a very small aircraft where the pilot was so close that you could watch as he flew the plane. The Island itself is very small and the food at the cafe was outstanding. The locals were very friendly and helpful.
Everything went very smoothly and the experience couldn't have been better. The trip was extremely well organized and the perfect amount of time was allocated for each part of the journey. We couldn't have been happier as even the weather was perfect.
My friends and I took 3 day tours out of Dublin. This was the least favorite of the tours. I would not take this tour if I. had known what I know now. It was a long day with the train ride. And then there wasn't much really on the island unless you took the walk up to the fort. That was something I was unable to do physically, so didn't really like the tour.
