This tour exceeded my expectations! We had Niko as our tour guide and he was beyond amazing! Not only was the food delicious but Niko gave us such a great tour of the city! He was so informative and really explained the culture of Barcelona to us! It was a real pleasure having him as our tour guide and we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona! If youre looking for a night filled with laughs, great food and an amazing tour guide of the city than this it!!
To keep this review short and sweet..... TAKE THIS TOUR!! It was amazing!!!!!!! You will not be disappointed! Above the wine and tapas tasting, it gives you a wonderful and veryyy helpful introduction of the different districts in Barcelona! We went all over.
I can not pin point one bad thing about this tour!! Sebastian was amazing!!!!! He really explained everything to us perfectly!! It didn't feel like we were seeing Barcelona from a tour guide, it felt like we were being shown Barcelona by a old friend! He was wonderful
From this tour my group and I was able to get all around Barcelona with no problem! Very informative and welcoming. The start location was very easy to find! We stopped at some other small locations which had amazing products!!! I would suggest this company for any of your tours in Barcelona. FYI, this company has a lot of different tours available as well!
Very respectful, professional, and punctual. And I would highly suggest Sebastian!
On our 2nd evening in Barcelona, we signed up for this food tour. The tour did not disappoint. Our tour guide was informative and entertaining. He gave us historical perspective to all the areas that we toured, plus an overview of the political situation in Catalonia There was a big protest in the city on Sunday to support the embattled president-in-exile of Catalonia. But the main purpose of the tour was food and wine, and we had plenty to sample. We started with a glass of local Cava at the tour headquarters near Las Ramblas. Then we went to the La Boqueria market, where we had samples of the famous Iberian ham and local cheeses. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday, and the fish market stalls were almost all empty. We stopped for samples of nougat candy at Torons Vincens, also near Las Ramblas. The tour featured two stops at tapas restaurants. The first was a more traditional tapas restaurant, where we were served multiple tapas. The second, and last stop was at a more contemporary tapas shop, where we were able to go up to the counter and select three different tapas, out of a large selection. We were served wine or alternate beverages at both restaurants, so we had plenty to eat and drink. In Hawaii, we have our own version of tapas, called pupus. Tapas are totally different because they feature local ingredients, with much more emphasis on local vegetables, cheeses, and seafood. It was a great introduction to eating in Barcelona, and our guide Marc was excellent. Highly recommended.
This was our first tour of the trip. Gave us a great overview of Tapas and how the dining scene works in Barcelona. Our tour guide, Mark, was very informative and entertaining. We enjoyed hearing some history of Barcelona/Spain and about eating/drinking in Spain. We loved the food and wine that we had on the tour. We learned enough about the dining scene to be comfortable going to Tapas bars all on our own. It was very empowering to just walk into a bar and get our tapas and drinks with confidence. Thanks for a great tour!
I highly highly recommend this tour when first arriving to Barcelona! It was my first time here and decided to do this the day after arriving and had the best time. Our guide was Marco and he was the perfect guide to take you through all the cutest neighborhoods of Barcelona. Marco was also very knowledgeable of the history that lives in this beautiful city so it made the tour that more insightful and special to be in all of the locations. He gave us suggestions on the best restaurants for churros, tapas and wine bars! which i tried after the tour and were sooooooo delicious, the best I tried! After our tour was over he was willing to still send us information and took the time to ensure we get the best experience during our stay here, it really made the tour special. You will also find yourself meeting all kinds of people from all walks of life and in those three hours you're sure to make friends by the end of it : I solo traveled so i definitely recommend this for anyone who's on their own - however, it also works for couples and everyone actually! Amazing, ill be back Barcelona! 3
We hadn't been to Barcelona before so we decided a walking tour would be a good way to help us find our way around. Not having done many tours of this type I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. From the moment we arrived at the shopfront to meet our tour, our guide Marc was there welcoming us and getting to know us. He then lead us on a merry trail through the Barcelona evening, with lots of delicious treats and insider info along the way. Other reviewers have commented negatively on the actual tapas but this is only a small part of what the tour provides - you'll get to go the amazing Boquiera markets and try cheeses and Iberian ham, there will be an olive oil tasting, delicious local cava and wines, and most likely Marc will throw in a wild card or two in our case it was sweets at an incredible little store in the Gothic quarter that's been there since, like, forever. Marc is obviously very passionate about gastronomy and about Catalonia but he is also warm, friendly, thoughtful and a brilliant host. He made a perfect ambassador forthis tour company and for the city of Barcelona as a whole.
