Frenchman’s Pass

A beautiful but narrow grove above the Spanish Lagoon on Aruba, Frenchman’s Pass is a historical point of interest on Aruba, and, like many of the island’s attractions, also boasts stunning natural scenery, though it is often appreciated by simply driving through. Legend has it that Caribbean pirates once tried to overtake the island from the indigenous peoples but were confronted at this narrow wooded passageway. It is said to have been a bloody battle with many indigenous lives lost, so many claim that in the evening the ghosts of the fallen rise and cry from the grove. A pleasant stop for history buffs, nature lovers and ghost hunters alike, Frenchman’s Pass shouldn't be missed.
